Calvin Harris – Ready for the Weekend

If you don’t like this, you don’t like to party. Or have a good time. Or smile.

Calvin Harris is simply brilliant in every step of the way. He’s just an unreal producer, catchy song writer, and everything about his music keeps you going.

If you haven’t heard of him, hurry up. Its that good.

Ready for the Weekend (Bonus Track Version) - Calvin Harris

Breathe Carolina – Hell is What You Make It

This album secretly understands everything in the main/underground (if that makes sense) scene. It supports a dubstep community, a stagnant screamo scene, holds numerous Powerpop hooks, and rings with every house loopthat holsters the ears. They even stole Chromeo’s voice box.

The crunkcore aesthetic is lost with this album, and you’re left with more of a refined emo-fueled dance party. Not all faces of crunkcore are abandoned though, the track Wooly holds a 4-3 breakdowns that have you going from fist pumping to fist flailing.

What helps this album is the ability of transitions, the singers ability to write to his voice, and the necessity for something that bridged the gap of clever and trendy.

This album is as exotic as it is brilliant, yet you’ll end up hating it if you don’t buy directly into it.
